MTC ALBION - Event overview

The MTC ALBION is a thirteen day, end-to-end ultra challenge across England from Gretna Green to Lands End, scheduled for 13th - 25th July 2027. The total race distance is 503 miles with listed ascent of 29,289 ft and descent of 29,012 ft. It is the first edition and forms part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series. Competitor places are limited to 20. Entrants must be aged 20 years or over on the start day.

The event uses preset daily cut-offs based on a minimum average of 4.0 mph; competitors who fall below this minimum on consecutive days will be withdrawn. Organisers may remove any competitor considered unfit to continue. Maps and GPX files are supplied to entrants before the event and each competitor receives a tracking device with an SOS function.

Competitors are provided personalised hi-viz technical shirts, a hi-viz jacket and a free pair of R1 running shoes. Accommodation is arranged by the organiser at the end of Days 1 to 12 on a shared-room basis; competitors are responsible for their own accommodation at the start and after the finish. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone and basic first aid.
