Cousin Jack
Cousin Jack is a coastal trail event held on Saturday 6th March 2027. It offers two multi-terrain race options that follow sections of the coast path around St Just and St Ives.
The course descriptions:
- 18 miles point to point between St Just and St Ives.
- 35 miles out and back from St Ives to Cape Cornwall and back, with over 7000 feet of elevation.
The Classic route runs from St Just miners chapel to St Ives and includes muddy fields, rocky headlands, steep paths, and boggy sections. There is a safety cut off at Zennor Head. The Ultra route starts at The Blockhouse in St Ives, proceeds out to Cape Cornwall, then returns to St Ives. Both races take place on mixed terrain and use parts of the coastal path.
Event logistics note that entries close two weeks before each race. Parking is organised around St Ives Leisure Centre; coaches transport Classic competitors from St Ives to St Just. A kit list and an event guide are provided for participants, and risk assessments and route information are available for the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
