Mt. Ashland Hill Climb
Mt. Ashland Hill Climb is an uphill event in Ashland, Oregon, that includes running, hiking, and mountain biking. The course begins in Lithia Park and covers roughly about 13.5 miles, gaining approximately one mile of vertical to reach the summit of Mt. Ashland. Along the route there are four aid stations stocked with food and fluids.
The event serves as a fundraiser for local trail and cycling nonprofits, including AWTA, Ashland DEVO, and RVMBA. Race fees normally include a race shirt (unless a late registration), plus lunch and beer at the finish. Youth athletes under 18 receive half-price registration.
Organizers note shirt sizes can be guaranteed if registration is completed by May 1 and that entry fees increase on May 8. Registration closes on June 1. If the event must be canceled, registrations can be rolled over to the following year; refunds are not offered because of event costs for insurance, shirts, shuttles, and permits.
Volunteers are used throughout the event to support aid stations, course operations, and the finish area. Volunteers receive food, snacks, beverages, and event swag in appreciation for their work. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
