Drop the ROC Walk/Jog/Run 2026
Drop the ROC is a community walk, jog, and run event on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Lithia & Driveway Fields in Medford, Oregon. The event focuses on recovery, connection, and raising awareness for mental health, addiction, and suicide prevention.
Participants of all ages are invited to join a communal 3K or 5K course to show support for recovery efforts and to reduce stigma. The program includes a "Drop the Label" experience in which participants can write down something they are carrying, wear it during the event, and leave it at the finish area as a symbolic act of release.
The event supports fundraising and community partnerships. Organizations and groups can register as partners, form teams, and keep the funds they raise. Event materials include a pledge form, flyers, and artwork for outreach.
The purpose of the gathering is to create space for shared reflection, to break down labels, and to encourage people to seek and support recovery. The format mixes walking, jogging, and running with opportunities for individual reflection and collective expression. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
