Event Details
The MS Warrior Dash 5K is an in-person and virtual event taking place on June 13, 2026, in Portage, Indiana. The in-person race is held at Imagine Glen - West Park on McCool Road.
Course and Format
The 5K course uses the paved Iron Horse Heritage Trail and is described as an out-and-back route. The event features a professional chip-timing service. A notable feature is an "Open Start Line," which allows participants to begin when they feel comfortable, while a formal start time is also available for competitive runners.
Charitable Purpose
All proceeds from the event benefit MS Run the US, a nonprofit organization that provides direct equipment donations, such as wheelchairs and ramps, to people living with multiple sclerosis. The event is organized by volunteers, with the aim of directing 100% of profits to this cause.
Participation and Awards
The event includes a wide range of award categories. These include overall male and female winners, masters winners (40+), and top finishers in Athena (170 lbs+) and Clydesdale (210 lbs+) divisions. Age group awards are offered for numerous categories, from 8 & under to 80+.

Packet pickup and registration open on race day. There may also be early packet pickup the Friday before. The event is part of the Calumet Region Striders 2026 Gold Cup and Elite Series.
