MRT 2026 Last Runner Standing 1 Mile : Statesville, NC
The MRT 2026 Last Runner Standing 1 Mile takes place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Statesville Soccer Complex, 2012 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625. The event includes two entries: 1 mile and 1 mile (youth). Entry fees listed are $17 for the main event and $10 for the youth event; prices increase after March 23, 2026.
Race format, series and awards
The event uses a last-person-standing format. Runners complete successive 1-mile efforts. The first round requires finishing within 10 minutes. Runners who finish within the limit are allowed a 5-minute rest period measured from when the last finisher completes the mile. After each round the allowed finishing time is reduced by 30 seconds per mile until no one meets the required time. The race is listed as Race #7 in the series.
Awards are given nightly for overall, masters and five-year age groups. The race is part of the 2026 Championship Series. Competitors earn series points and must compete in 12 of 20 races to be eligible for the Series Championship. Additional points are awarded for races beyond 12; completing all 20 races gives five bonus points and a free race entry for 2027.
