MRT 2026 5k
The MRT 2026 5k is a running race held at the Statesville Soccer Complex in North Carolina. This event is open to all participants and features a standard distance for both adult and youth categories. The race takes place on a course located at 2012 Simonton Road.

This race serves as one of the 20 events in the 2026 Championship Series. Participants can accumulate points throughout the year by competing in multiple races. To qualify for the Series Championship, runners must complete at least 12 of the 20 scheduled races. Additional points are awarded for every race completed beyond the initial 12. Runners who participate in all 20 events receive five bonus points and a complimentary entry for the 2027 season.
Awards are presented each night for overall winners, masters, and five-year age groups. The point system allocates 12 points for first place overall, with descending values for subsequent placements and age group rankings. All other finishers receive two points toward their series total. The top five male and female winners of the Championship Series are eligible for cash prizes.
