MRT 2027 2 Mile
MRT 2027 2 Mile is a running event at the Statesville Soccer Complex in Statesville, North Carolina. The program includes two races, both of 2 Miles: an open division and a youth division. Registration opens 6/26/2026 and closes 2/8/2027. The registration fee for the adult race is $15.00 and for the youth race is $8.00.
Awards are presented nightly for overall winners, masters winners, and five-year age groups. The event is part of a Championship Series composed of 15 races. To qualify for the Series Championship a competitor must compete in at least 10 of the 15 races. Competitors earn one additional point for each race completed beyond 10. Completing all 15 races earns five additional points plus a free race entry for 2028.
Points for series placement are awarded as follows: overall 1st 12 points, overall 2nd 10 points, overall 3rd 9 points; masters 1st 8 points, masters 2nd 7 points, masters 3rd 6 points; age group 1st 5 points, age group 2nd 4 points, age group 3rd 3 points. All other participants receive 2 points. Prize money for top five male and female Championship winners is $60, $50, $40, $30, and $20 respectively.
