MRT 5k to 50k
MRT 5k to 50k is a set of running events held at the Statesville Soccer Complex in Statesville, NC on February 20, 2027. Distances offered include:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 15 km
- 20 km
- 25 km
- 30 km
- 35 km
- 40 km
- 45 km
- 50 km
Registration for most distances opened on March 4, 2026. The 25k opened registration on February 16, 2026. Registration closes February 5, 2027. Entry fees are listed per distance and range from $5.00 for the 5k up to $50.00 for the 50k.
Awards are given for overall, masters, and five-year age groups nightly. The event is part of the 2027 Championship Series. The series includes up to 15 races on the listed dates. To be eligible for the Series Championship a participant must compete in 10 out of 15 races. One additional point is earned for each race run beyond 10. Running all 15 races awards five additional points and a free race entry for 2028.
Points for placings are as follows: Overall 1st 12 points, Overall 2nd 10 points, Overall 3rd 9 points, Masters 1st 8 points, Masters 2nd 7 points, Masters 3rd 6 points, Age Group 1st 5 points, Age Group 2nd 4 points, Age Group 3rd 3 points, all other participants 2 points.
Prize money for top five male and female Championship winners is: $60.00, $50.00, $40.00, $30.00, $20.00.
