Bump n' Run 5K and MRO Fest
Motor Racing Outreach presents the Bump n' Run 5K and MRO Fest at Charlotte Motor Speedway on September 23, 2026. The course is a fully closed loop on the ROVAL, beginning on Pit Road, passing through the infield road course and banked turns, and finishing on the track finish line.
Registered participants may run, walk, skate, use strollers, or compete with wheelchairs and handcycles. The skate category is noted to start slightly ahead of other categories and is limited to one lap. Registered participants receive a bib, event T-shirt, and medal. Stroller entries must have children in the stroller or on a push bike; children on self-propelled bicycles are not allowed on the course.
After the 5K, the MRO Fest takes place on the frontstretch grass with awards, food trucks, live music with special guest Colony House, and fireworks. Spectators and guests who want access to the venue and post-race festival must purchase a festival-only ticket through registration.
The event offers multiple ticket types and tiered pricing by registration date, including combined 5K and festival tickets, festival-only spectator tickets, stroller and adaptive participant options, and a skate category. Registration policies state there are no refunds unless refund protection is purchased, race management may cancel or modify the event, fees are not refundable for Acts of God, and only registered participants are allowed on the track. Sponsors include Charlotte Motor Speedway, Coca-Cola Consolidated, and Hendrick Motorsports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
