Move4Mom
Move4Mom is a trail running and community fundraiser organized by The Movement Project in Vernon, British Columbia. Held at Kalamalka Provincial Park, the event supports the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation and the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre.
The event offers several ways for participants to get involved, focusing on movement and remembrance:
- Running
- Walking
- Hiking
Participants have the choice between live, on-site participation or a virtual format. The event is open to both individuals and teams, with a focus on creating fundraising groups to support cancer initiatives. Move4Mom takes place during Mother's Day weekend and serves as a platform to honor those affected by cancer, inspired by the memory of Laura Jean Stankiewicz.
As part of a broader giving project, the event directs proceeds toward local charities and individuals in need of financial resources or assistance. The organization also encourages community involvement through volunteer opportunities and business partnerships to support their mission of inspiring generosity through outdoor sports.
