Event overview
Move For It 5K is a fundraising 5K run/walk on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The event supports To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) and raises funds for local mental health therapy scholarships and national mental health support. The race base is the Schechter Center, 1089 S Patrick Dr., Satellite Beach, FL 32237. Every participant receives a custom event shirt, bib, and finisher medal when registered by April 1. The event includes a resource hub and an introductory mental health toolkit, on-site wellness training, wellness vendors, food trucks, merchandise, family-friendly activities, raffle prizes, and overdose prevention resources including Narcan distribution.
Logistics, fees and awards
Early packet pickup and on-site registration are available the day before and on race day. Pricing examples from the event page: Early bird pricing is listed as $30 (ends January 31); standard pricing lists Adults (13 and over) at $35 and Children (12 and under) at $25. A $5 discount is available for selecting no shirt. Raising $100 unlocks additional event swag; top individual and team fundraisers receive TWLOHA gift cards. Top finisher awards are listed for overall and age groups, including Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories and Masters (40+). Parking options are provided near the Schechter Center; participants are asked not to park along South Patrick because vehicles may be ticketed or towed. The event follows a transgender inclusion policy based on RRCA guidelines with specific requirements for male-to-female entrants who wish to compete in the female category.
