Mountie Maker
Mountie Maker is an obstacle course event held on the RCMP Academy grounds in Regina, Saskatchewan on September 26, 2026. The full course is 7.5 km long and includes 26 obstacles, reflecting the 26 weeks of the cadet training program.
The event is presented by the YMCA of Regina. Adult participants and cadets may register individually or as teams for the adult races; teams may include between 2 and 24 people. A separate competitive heat exists that accepts individual registrations only and does not allow teams. Cadets can receive a reduced registration rate by using a provided promo code.
There is a Mini Mountie 2 km obstacle race for children aged 5 to 13. A shorter adult sprint course is also offered. All participants or a parent or legal guardian on their behalf must complete an online waiver as part of registration. Registration closes on September 24, 2026.
Registration includes a t-shirt, a medal, water and snacks after the race. The RCMP Academy is a secure, active training site and access is controlled; personal items are searched on entry. Each participant will be given a clear plastic bag for personal effects to be tied to a fence on site. Parking is at Rambler Park with shuttle buses to Depot. Spectators are welcome but restricted to the race staging area. Pets are not permitted except service dogs. The event goes ahead in rainy conditions.
