Royal Road Race
The Royal Road Race is an annual running event hosted by the Jaleta Pacers with the RCMP, held at the RCMP Training Academy in Regina on Saturday May 8, 2027. The event includes multiple timed races and community categories and reports over $350,000 raised for local charities since its founding.
Distances and categories:
- 10 km race
- 5 km race
- 5 km walk
- 5 km wheelchair
- 1 km Mini-Mountie children’s race
The event features race bibs with timing chips attached; bibs must be worn on the front and kept visible. Water stations are provided at the start/finish area and mid-course. Course marshals and volunteers staff the route and a digital clock is placed at the finish. Washrooms are located inside the Drill Hall. Brunch and an awards presentation follow the race; the race bib serves as entry to the brunch area.
Safety and participation rules include no portable headphones, no strollers or bicycles on the course, and no pets. Walkers should keep to the right to allow runners to pass. If a 10 km entrant stops after the first 5 km loop, an official time will not be recorded and the result will be listed as DNF. Mini-Mountie finishers receive medals in the Drill Hall; a parent or guardian must meet each child at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
