Event overview
Gopher Attack takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026. It is presented by Sask Lotteries and hosted by Marathon Matters Running Club. The event is a fundraiser for the MS Society of Canada. The marathon course winds through Wascana Park and the University of Regina campus. The course is a 21.1 km loop certified by Athletics Canada. Participants who meet Boston Marathon qualifying times will be eligible to enter the Boston Marathon in the following year.

Location and format
The on-site start is in front of the Queen Building, 100 Navy Way, in Wascana Park, Regina, Saskatchewan. A virtual event is also offered with five distances; virtual registration includes entry for all five distances, including a special 19 km distance referenced for 2025. Virtual runners have from April 27 to May 31 to complete their distances. Virtual participants receive a mailed medal and a discount from Track & Trail.
Logistics and extras
Race packet pickup is scheduled at the Queen Building: Saturday 1:00 to 5:30 and Sunday at 7:00 (virtual participants receive packets by mail). In-person finishers receive a unique medal, a swag item, and a Track & Trail discount voucher. Marathon Matters club members receive a $10 discount plus the Race Roster fee; a membership option is available during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
