Gopher Attack 2026
Gopher Attack takes place on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The event is presented by Sask Lotteries and hosted by Marathon Matters Running Club as a fundraiser for the MS Society of Canada. The marathon is promoted as a Boston Qualifier with a flat course that winds through Wascana Park and the University of Regina campus.
The marathon course is a 21.1 km loop certified by Athletics Canada. Participants who meet Boston Marathon qualifying times will be eligible to enter the Boston Marathon in the following year.

In-person distances include:
- Marathon
- Half-marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
A virtual event is also offered with five distances, including a special 19 km distance for 2025. Virtual runners have from April 27 to May 31 to complete their distances.
The in-person start is located in front of the Queen Building, 100 Navy Way, in Wascana Park, Regina, Saskatchewan. Race packet pickup is at the Queen Building; virtual event materials are sent by mail. Finishers receive a unique medal. In-person participants receive a swag item and a discount voucher from Track & Trail; virtual participants receive a medal and the Track & Trail discount. Marathon Matters club members receive a $10 discount plus the Race Roster fee; a club membership was available during registration for $12.82.
