Gopher Attack 2026
The Gopher Attack 2026 event takes place on Sunday, April 26 in Regina, Saskatchewan. It is the 20th edition of the race. The start is in front of the Queen Building at 100 Navy Way in Wascana Park.
Four distances are offered for the in-person race:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
The marathon course is described as flat and fast. It winds through Wascana Park and the University of Regina campus, forming a 21.1 km loop certified by Athletics Canada. This race is a Boston Marathon qualifier. In-person participants will receive a special 20th Anniversary swag item and will be eligible for a number of random draws.
A virtual option is also available. A single virtual registration gives access to five distances, including a special 20 km distance for 2026. Virtual participants have from April 26 to May 31 to complete their run.
The event is a fundraiser for the MS Society of Canada and is hosted by the Marathon Matters Running Club. Club members receive a discount on registration fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
