Gopher Attack 2026
The Gopher Attack is an annual running event held in Regina, Saskatchewan, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026. Hosted by the Marathon Matters Running Club, the event serves as a fundraiser for the MS Society of Canada. The race features a flat and fast course certified by Athletics Canada, consisting of a 21.1 km loop that winds through Wascana Park and the University of Regina campus.
The marathon serves as an official Boston Qualifier. Additionally, the event is recognized as a qualifying race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group rankings and championships.
For the 2026 edition, the in-person event offers four distinct distances:
- Marathon
- Half-marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
The start line is located at the Queen Building, 100 Navy Way, within Wascana Park. In-person finishers receive a unique 20th Anniversary medal and a swag item. A virtual participation option is also available, featuring five distances, including a special 20 km distance to commemorate the 20-year milestone.
