Mountains 2 Beach Marathon and Half : April 18-19, 2026, Ventura, CA
The event is a point-to-point race weekend in Ventura County scheduled for April 18-19, 2026. Distances offered include:
- 26.2 miles (Full Marathon)
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 10K
- 5K
- 1K (Kids Fun Run)
The full marathon starts in downtown Ojai at just over 700 ft elevation and gradually descends to sea level over about 22 miles, finishing near the Ventura Pier. The course is USATF certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier (CA24015TEB). The half marathon begins in Oak View near the halfway point of the full course and finishes on the Ventura beachfront alongside the marathon finish. The 10K starts near Crooked Palm at roughly mile 20 of the full course. The beachfront 5K starts near San Buenaventura State Beach Park and follows the bike path past the Ventura Pier. A Combo Challenge returns, pairing the Saturday 5K with a Sunday event (Full, Half, or 10K).
Registration limits, race weekend features, and community support
The half marathon is limited to the first 2,000 entrants. Finish-line activities take place near downtown Ventura and the beachfront. The event supports local charity partners; the current donation goal is $20,000. In 2025 the event reported nearly $50,000 given to charity partners.
