Mountains 2 Beach Marathon and Half
The Mountains 2 Beach Marathon and Half is a point-to-point race weekend in Ventura County, California held April 17–18, 2027. The event includes multiple distances and staged activities over two days, with the marathon starting in downtown Ojai and the finishes located near the historic Ventura Pier at San Buenaventura State Beach.
The distances and event options include:
- Marathon - 26.2 miles, point to point from Ojai to Ventura
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, starts in Oak View and finishes beachfront
- 10K - starts near Crooked Palm, joins the downtown Ventura approach
- Beachfront 5K - starts near San Buenaventura State Beach Park
- Kids 1K
- Combo Challenge - 5K on Saturday plus a chosen race on Sunday
The full marathon course begins at just over 700 feet elevation and descends to sea level over about 22 miles. The half marathon starts near the halfway point of the full course in Oak View and runs gently downhill to the same beachfront finish. The half marathon field is limited to the first 2,000 entrants.
The event uses a USATF certified course that serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier.
