Mountains 2 Beach Marathon and Half : Ventura, California (April 17–18, 2027)
The Mountains 2 Beach Marathon and Half is a multi-event race weekend held in Ventura, California on April 17–18, 2027. The marathon begins in Ojai and the half marathon starts in Oak View; both are point-to-point courses that follow the Ventura River Valley to the Ventura beachfront and finish near the Ventura Pier and San Buenaventura State Beach Park.
Course details note a gradual descent from about 700 feet to sea level over roughly 22 miles on the full marathon route. Distances offered during the weekend include:
- Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids 1K Fun Run
- Combo Challenge options combining the 5K with other distances
The marathon course is USATF certified and listed as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The half marathon enrollment is limited to the first 2,000 entrants. The 10K starts near Crooked Palm around mile 20 of the full marathon course. The beachfront 5K follows the bike path near San Buenaventura State Beach Park.
Race weekend program elements include packet pickup, an expo, start-line shuttle and parking information, and hotel accommodation resources. The event lists charity partners and volunteer roles such as aid stations, road crossing, finish-line support, and course setup and breakdown.
