Mountaineer Pi Run
The Mountaineer Pi Run is a community running event held in Byron Center, Michigan. The event features a single distance for participants:
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
The race starts and finishes at Zion Christian School. The course is designed to play on the mathematical constant Pi (3.14), as the 5 km distance is approximately 3.1 miles. Parking is available on-site at the school for all participants.
Post-race refreshments are provided to runners, including pie and other snacks. Participants who pre-register for the event are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt, while those registering on the day of the race receive shirts based on availability. All proceeds from the event are directed to the Mountaineer Athletic Boosters.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female in the masters (40+) category. Recognition is also given to the top male and female finishers across a wide range of age groups, starting from ages 10 and under up to 70 and over.
