Mountain View Race for Education 5k
The Mountain View Race for Education 5k is scheduled for May 1, 2027 at Piedmont Athletic Club in Haymarket, Virginia. The event includes a 5K race and a 1 mile fun run. Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Spring Series.
The race supports the Mountain View Elementary School PTO; funds are allocated for educational resources and enrichment programs for Mountain View students. Runners receive an event shirt with shirt size guaranteed if registered by early April and the 5K is chip timed.
Key logistics and services include packet pickup on April 30 at 14675 Piedmont Vista Dr and additional pickup the morning of the event, race day registration, and parking available at 14675 Piedmont Vista Dr. Live race results will be posted on Athlinks with a QR code available at the event; final results and series points are posted the Monday after the race.
Two water stations are placed on the 5K course near mile markers 0.5 and 2.4, with Gatorade available at some stations. Awards are given to first male and female finishers in age categories including 5 and under, 6 to 9, 10 to 14, 15 to 17, 18 to 29, and 30 and over.
