Mountain View Race for Education 5K
The event on May 1, 2027 at Piedmont Athletic Club in Haymarket, VA features a chip-timed 5K and a 1-mile Fun run. It serves as a PTO fundraiser for Mountain View Elementary School, with funds designated for educational resources and enrichment programs for Mountain View students. Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and the Spring Series.

Registered runners receive an event shirt and chip timing; shirt sizes are guaranteed only for those registered by April 4. Registration fees vary by distance and by date, with lower rates available before April 5 and higher rates through April 30. T-shirt design will be published after approval.
Packet pickup is scheduled for April 30, 5 - 7pm at 14675 Piedmont Vista Dr., Haymarket, with additional pickup available the morning of the event. Race day registration is available, though race day registrants cannot be guaranteed a shirt size.
The course includes two water stations near mile markers 0.5 and 2.4, with Gatorade available at some stations. Live results will be posted online with a QR code available at the event; final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race. Photos taken by staff will be posted on the organizer’s Facebook page by the Tuesday following the event.
