Mountain Sheep Canyon Run - April 11, 2026
The event offers two distances: a 10 Mile run and a 5K. Both races start in Page, AZ.
The 10 Mile course is a loop through Navajo Nation's Mountain Sheep Canyon. It starts on a double track and moves onto a single track through washes and along ridges on dunes below mesas. It includes a descent into a slot canyon before a downhill wash run back to the start/finish. The course has 850 feet of ascent and 850 feet of descent and is rated medium-hard effort. It is a cupless race, so participants must carry their own water bottle or pack. There will be one aid station with water, Tailwind Nutrition, and snacks.
The 5K is a lollipop-style loop course. It starts on a sand double track, goes into a wash and Owl Canyon, a slot canyon, before returning to the double track to the finish. It is rated easy to easy-medium effort. There will be one water station at the halfway point.
Bib pickup is available at the start line on April 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on race morning from 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
The event time follows Phoenix, AZ time (Mountain Time). Navajo Nation observes Daylight Time, but the event will use the local Page, AZ time zone. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
