The Antelope Canyon X Half Marathon takes place on April 12, 2026, at LeChee Rock, AZ. Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon (about 13.9 miles)
- 8 Miler (8 miles)
Course
Both courses run on Navajo Nation terrain with sand, double-track roads, ATV trails, washes, and slot canyons. The half marathon course begins at coordinates 36.81965, -111.30870 and features aid stations at about 4.3 miles, 6.9 miles, and 9.3 miles. The half course includes roughly 1,200 feet of ascent and a 1.5 mile loop in a wash before returning to the main road for the finish. The 8 mile is a lollipop route that follows the half marathon to the slot canyon, includes a climb up a 155-foot sand hill, and totals about 850 feet of ascent/descent. The event is cup-less; participants must carry their own bottles or bladder packs. Ribbons and signs mark the course.
Logistics
The start and finish are on the right-side dirt lot near the Antelope Canyon X tour entrance, about 10 miles east of Page, AZ on Highway 98 at mile posts 307-308. The event is located on Navajo Nation but follows local Page, AZ (Phoenix) time. Registration closes April 1, 2026. Bib pickup is available the day before at the start line parking lot and there is last-minute pickup at the start line on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
