Horseshoe Bend Ultras
Horseshoe Bend Ultras is a trail race event in Page, AZ on October 9, 2027, organized by UR Trail and Ultras. The event offers multiple distances and uses trails around the plateau that surrounds the city of Page.
The distances offered are:
- 50 Miler
- 55K
- Half Marathon
Course descriptions note that the routes pass two well known landmarks, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River. Runners traverse desert sand and slickrock to reach those sites, then follow smooth singletrack around the plateau. Courses finish in Page with views of Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam.
Expo and packet pickup take place the day before the race at Page Shores Amphitheater on Coppermine Rd, Page, AZ 86040. Expo and packet pickup hours are listed for Friday, October 8, 2027; a bag drop is available the evening before. A cultural presentation is scheduled at the expo, presented by Red Heritage.
On race day, packet pickup is available at Page Shores Amphitheater. All runners are required to park at Page Shores Amphitheater; a designated runner drop-off area and spectator parking are provided at the same location.
Event policies state that distance changes are allowed until the Wednesday before the event and bib transfers are permitted until two weeks prior. Refunds are not available and purchasing travel insurance is suggested. Registration closes October 8 at 11:59 PM MT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
