Event Overview
The Mile High United Way Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running event taking place on November 26, 2026, in Denver's Washington Park. It is the 53rd edition of the event. Course and Distances
The event features two distances:
- 4 Mile: A timed, point-to-point course starting at South High School (1700 E. Louisiana Ave.). It is described as relatively flat.
- Lil Gobbler Fun Run: A 1 Mile family fun run.
The 4-mile event uses a wave start system. The finish area is called the Finish Village.
Registration and Inclusions
Registration is available for individuals, a military category, and a separate entry for pets. Registration includes an official event t-shirt, a race bib, professional timing for the 4-mile distance, and free digital photos. Discounts are available for youth and seniors. Base registration prices are scheduled to increase on November 1, 20, and 26.
Event Features
The Finish Village includes sponsor booths, a kids' zone with games and face painting, and a craft beer garden for adults (ID required). A costume contest is held with categories for individuals, groups, and pets. Participants are encouraged to dress in Thanksgiving-themed attire.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available in advance at a partner store or on the morning of the event at the start area. An option to have the race packet mailed is available for a limited time.
