Event overview
The Mile High United Way Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 in Washington Park, Denver. The event is organized by Mile High United Way and raises funds for local programs that support early learning, education and workforce development for young adults, and basic needs for families. This is the 53rd edition of the event.
Distances and course
- 4 Mile - point-to-point A to B route that is described as relatively flat; this distance is professionally timed.
- 1 Mile Lil' Gobbler Family Fun Run - just under one mile, intended for families and children.
There are multiple start waves for the 4 Mile event, each with limited capacity.
Race services and logistics
Registration includes a collectible event T-shirt (sizes YS–3XL), a race bib with professional timing for the 4 Mile, and free digital photos. Packet pickup is available by mail (mail option must be selected by Oct. 25; mailing begins Nov. 4) or in-person at advance packet pick-up locations including Fleet Feet in Cherry Creek and on event morning at South High School. Parking is available at South High School, around the perimeter of Washington Park, and in the All City Stadium lot south of South High School.
On-site features and policies
A Finish Village offers sponsor booths, a kids zone with games and face painters, and a post-race craft beer garden for adults (ID required). Furry Friends registration is available for a fee of $15 to receive a pet bandana; quantities are limited. Medical personnel will be on-site and basic safety guidance is provided for participants.
