Mountain Man Ultra
Mountain Man Ultra is a 50K trail race in Waterville, PA, held on September 26, 2026. The course follows the former Call of the Wilds 50K route through Pine Creek Valley and uses trails in and near Little Pine State Park.
The route moves from a short road climb onto the Mid State Trail, where footing becomes rocky, off-camber, and constantly changing. The first half offers little opportunity to settle until a brief reset on the Pine Creek Trail in Ramsey. The back half includes long climbs across Spiked Buck, Tiadaghton, and Pesto, with the Torbert climb around mile 26 followed by about four miles to the finish, including the descent down Panther Run.
The course contains roughly 7,500 feet of elevation gain over 50 kilometers. Median finish time is about 7 hours 45 minutes, with most finishers between 6 and 10 hours. There is an 11 hour cutoff.
