Mountain Madness - 08/15/2026
Mountain Madness is a 50 mile relay event that takes place in Ashley National Forest near Vernal, Utah on August 15, 2026. The course begins at the Red Cloud loop turnoff and finishes at Remember the Maine Park.
Teams may compete in groups of 8, 4, or 2 runners, and individuals may run the entire 50 mile distance solo. The event is described as a Ragnar-type relay with no organized aid stations along the route.
HAM radio operators and porta potties will be available along the course. Runners may use a support vehicle to carry water, supplies, and snacks.
For a shirt guarantee, registration must be completed by July 30. Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, August 14 at Uintah Recreation Center from 5:30 am to 5:00 pm, or the morning of the event at the starting line at 5:30 am.
