Marsh Peak Madness
Marsh Peak Madness is a trail running event held June 6, 2026 at the Middle Mountain Corral Trail Head near Gull Lake in the Uinta Mountains, Ashley National Forest. The course is a 5 mile loop that passes high mountain meadows with spring wildflowers and offers views of Marsh Peak and Lake Mountain looking down into Dry Fork Canyon.
The event includes the following formats:
- 12 hour endurance repeat the 5 mile loop as many times as possible.
- 6 hour endurance repeat the 5 mile loop as many times as possible.
- 5 mile speed run single loop, first runner to complete the loop wins.
For the endurance formats, runners complete as many full loops as they can within the chosen time limit; loops not finished before the time limit do not count toward the total. The course has an elevation gain of 1,193 ft across the 5 mile loop. There are several aid and water stations located throughout the course. The venue is described as a short drive from Vernal, Utah.
Course records are tracked and breaking a course record earns a cash prize. Existing recorded totals include 8 loops for the 12 hour event (40 miles) and 4 loops for the 6 hour event (20 miles).
