McCoy Flats Trail Events - Vernal, Utah - April 18, 2026

McCoy Flats Trail Events is a trail race held at the McCoy Flats Trail Complex a few miles southwest of Vernal, Utah. The course uses several single-track trails through desert terrain and highlights seasonal spring wildflowers and local wildlife such as antelope, bobcat, cottontail rabbit, and mule deer. The event offers multiple race distances and publishes course maps and KML files.

Runners can compete for course-record cash prizes. When a course record is broken, the athlete who sets the new record receives a cash prize; prizes are awarded separately for male and female results at each distance. Current course records are listed for all three distances and cash prizes are assigned as follows: 15K $50, 10K $35, 5K $25.

Registration for the event closes on Saturday, April 4 at 11:59 PM MT. The organizer provides additional race information including course maps, KML files, and event details on the event website.
