McCoy Flats Trail Events
McCoy Flats Trail Events is a set of trail races held at the McCoy Flats Trail Complex, a few miles southwest of Vernal, Utah. The courses use several single-track trails through desert terrain and are noted for spring wildflowers and local wildlife such as antelope, bobcat, cottontail rabbit, and mule deer.
Event information includes course maps and KML files. The organizer is Mad Man Races. Registration opens August 1, 2026.

When a runner sets a new course record, a cash prize is awarded to the athlete; prizes are given separately for male and female records at each distance. Current course records are: 15K 1:18:04 (M) and 1:29:46 (F); 10K 48:26 (M) and 1:11:24 (F); 5K 27:18 (M) and 37:02 (F). Cash prizes for newly established course records are $50 for the 15K, $35 for the 10K, and $25 for the 5K.
The event takes place in Vernal, Utah, and uses natural single-track routes within the McCoy Flats Trail Complex. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
