Mount Leinster is a mountain running event in County Wexford on Sunday 30th August 2026. The course distance is 15.00 km with a climb of 750 m. The event difficulty is rated 9 (3,3,3), described as Difficult Terrain, more than 500 m ascent and longer than 10 km. Race marking is limited to only major junctions. GPS devices are not allowed.

Logistics and requirements

The event requires Level C - Advanced mandatory kit. Runners must bring a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with the emergency number stored, foil blanket or bivvy, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL water, emergency food, map of the route/area and a compass. The exact kit to be carried will be finalised on the day and clearly advised at Registration. Failure to have required items may lead to denied entry or disqualification; random checks may be carried out.

No entry details have yet been added; entries for league events usually open a couple of weeks before the event. The venue will be signposted in the target area. Arrival routes are described via the N11 (through Ferns), the N81 (via Bunclody) and from Enniscorthy (R702 then R746). Parking is signposted and is about 1 km from the sign.
