About the race
Gorey Athletics Club will present the Gorey AC 5k Santa Dash on Sunday, 6 December 2026, with permit cert.no 26/585. The event, sponsored by Pettitt’s SuperValu, is a professionally timed 5K with start and finish at Gorey Civic Centre. Organisers describe a festive atmosphere and encourage festive dress; virtual entries are available for those who do not attend in person.
Entry categories and early-bird pricing are listed for adults, juveniles and under-13s, and separate virtual entry options are offered for adults and under-18s. Every in-person entrant will receive a medal while stocks last. Virtual entrants with an Irish postal address will receive a medal by post while stocks last; postage for mailed medals is included in the virtual entry fee and medals cannot be posted outside Ireland. Virtual entrants will not receive a race bib or timing chip.
Event t-shirts and Santa hats are optional extras available while stocks last. Prize amounts and prize categories are subject to minimum entry numbers. The final route and race-day arrangements will be confirmed before the event. The event is held under an Athletics Ireland approved permit and other required approvals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
