Mount Laguna Trail Marathon

The Mount Laguna Trail Marathon is a trail running event in Mount Laguna, CA, held as a single loop on technical single track over mostly rolling terrain. The course records a total elevation gain of 3,358 feet and combines high ridge running with lower meadows.

The first half of the route follows the Pacific Crest Trail with views overlooking the Anza Borrego Desert. The second half climbs and descends Champagne Pass and passes the meadows surrounding Big Laguna Lake. The start and finish use the Redtailed Roost Trailhead area in Mount Laguna.

Organizers describe the race as a community focused, no profit event that supports local volunteer organizations. The event emphasizes environmental sustainability and acknowledges that it takes place on the ancestral homelands of the Kumeyaay people.

Safety is a primary concern. The event will follow federal, state and local public health recommendations and will comply with US Forest Service closures related to fire danger or other hazards.
