Mt Baldy Run to the Top
The Mt Baldy Run to the Top is an annual trail running event organized by the San Antonio Canyon Town Hall in the Angeles National Forest. The course covers approximately 7+ miles, beginning near the Ski Lifts parking area at about 6,000 feet and finishing on the summit of Mt Baldy at 10,064 feet.
The event uses professional timing and posts results. There are four aid and water stations along the route. Participants receive a race shirt and finishers receive a medal only at the finish line; late finishers are not guaranteed a medal. After finishing, runners must descend by hiking back about 3.5 miles to the lifts; a lift ride is not included.
Awards are given overall for the top three male and female finishers and for divisional top three placings. The event operates rain or shine and enforces a strict no refund, no roll over, no transfer policy.
Course conduct rules include no earbuds, headphones, or radios; no poles; no pets; and remaining on the designated trail at all times. Runners returning from the finish are required to yield to uphill traffic and must not impede Mt Baldy Road. Presence is required to receive awards and shirts.
