Autism Shero Run, May 9 2026
The Autism Shero Run is an inclusive running and walking event held at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, California. The event supports children and adults on the autism spectrum and is organized by a nonprofit group. Both in-person and virtual participation options are offered.
Registration for in-person attendance has an online deadline of May 8, 2026 and day-of registration is available with a higher fee and possible delayed swag bag distribution. Virtual registration remains open through May 31, 2026 and virtual participants receive a mailed race bib and finisher medal.
All participants receive a custom finisher medal, an official race day T-shirt, a reusable swag bag, and post-race refreshments. In-person runners also receive chip timing and there are awards for the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5K and 10K categories.
The event program includes music provided by a live DJ, a group warm-up led by trainers, free activities for children such as a bounce house and an art station, and onsite food truck options. The race lists multiple category options for different ages and participation formats and is presented as a community event to raise funds and awareness.
