Pasadena Triathlon
The Pasadena Triathlon celebrates its 20th year at the Rose Bowl. This multi-sport event includes several different race formats and distances suitable for various types of athletes. Participants can choose between a reverse triathlon, a duathlon, a 5k fun run, or a specific junior triathlon for younger participants.
The event offers the following race categories:
- Reverse Triathlon: Consists of a 3 mile run, a 9 mile bike, and a 150 meter swim.
- Angel City 5K: A 3 mile fun run.
- Duathlon: Features a 3 mile run, a 3 mile bike, and a second 3 mile run.
- Junior Triathlon: Includes a 0.5 mile run, a 1.5 mile bike, and a 25-50 meter swim.
- Relay Teams: Available for 2-3 person teams in the triathlon and duathlon categories.
The competition is organized in partnership with Angel City Sports, a non-profit that provides opportunities for athletes with physical disabilities. Adaptive athletes are encouraged to participate in the triathlon and 5k events. All participants who complete their respective courses receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal.
Race day logistics include packet pickup starting in the early morning at the venue, though advance pickup is also an option.
