Event overview
The Mother's Day Run for the Roses takes place on May 10, 2026, in Coplay, Pennsylvania at the Ironton Rail Trail (245 N 2nd St.). The event is held rain or shine and includes the following race options:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Combo 5K & 10K
All registrants receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and ankle running socks. Women runners receive a fresh rose at the finish. There is a 4 hour time limit for all events. A 10% race-entry discount is available for active duty service members and eligible family members.
Course, services and awards
The half marathon is two loops of a generally flat 5.25 mile loop; each loop contains a spur that makes the loop 6.55 miles. The 10K follows the same loop with a shorter out-and-back spur for a single 6.2 mile loop. Course surface is asphalt. Elevation ranges from 365 to 389 feet with about 184 feet of elevation gain per 6.55 mile loop; one section gains about 30 feet in 0.3 mile. Aid stations with water and Gatorade are placed about every two miles.
Amenities include live/text/email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs if registered at least three weeks ahead. First-time half marathon and combo finishers receive a commemorative plaque. Awards include top overall and age-group awards with separate categories that include a non-binary option. Early start is available for the half (and full if offered); there are no early starts for the 5K or 10K and no awards for early starts.
