Lights in the Parkway 5K
The Lights in the Parkway 5K takes place on the Wednesday evening prior to Thanksgiving at the Lehigh Parkway in Allentown. This event offers participants the opportunity to view a holiday light display on foot. The race is open to both runners and walkers and is limited to a capacity of 1,200 participants.

The event is chip-timed by Second Wind Race Timing. Ornaments are awarded to the top 50 finishers based on chip time in three distinct categories: men, women, and children aged 12 and under. These awards must be collected on-site after the race.
Registration includes a long-sleeved event t-shirt and post-race refreshments consisting of hot chocolate and cookies. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register by November 6th. Participants who register by October 29th will have their names printed on their race bibs.
Parking is located off of Lehigh Street to Vultee, as there is no parking available within the Parkway itself. All vehicles park in the same direction on both sides of the road under the direction of event staff. There is a walking distance from the parking area to the starting line. In the event of extreme weather where the city closes the park, a rain or snow date will be determined. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
