Lights in the Parkway 5K
The Lights in the Parkway 5K is a festive running and walking event held on November 25, 2026, in Lehigh Parkway, Allentown, Pennsylvania. The course covers 5K (3.1 miles) and takes place on the Wednesday evening prior to Thanksgiving. The event includes a close view of the Lights in the Parkway holiday light display.
Registration information is provided with a fee of $40.00. Registration opens January 31, 2026 and closes September 28, 2026. Event shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by November 6, 2026. Race bibs will have a printed name if the entrant registers by October 29, 2026. Event capacity is limited to 1,200 runners; the event has sold out for five consecutive years.
Parking is limited and there is no parking within the Parkway. Vehicles must enter the area off Lehigh Street to Vultee and will be directed to park facing the same direction on both sides of the road. There is a notable walk from parking areas to the starting line.
Timing is electronic, handled by Second Wind Race Timing. Ornaments are awarded to the top 50 finishers in three categories, men, women and kids 12 and under, based on chip time; ornaments must be picked up after the race and will not be shipped.
