Bo Tkach Foundation 5K Turkey Trot
The Bo Tkach Foundation 5K Turkey Trot is held on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. The event takes place at Palmerton Park, beginning at the intersection of 3rd Street and Delaware Avenue, and proceeds through the town of Palmerton. The race supports the foundation's work to improve the future of youth.
The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Registration options include an early discounted online rate of $25 for adults and $15 for youth 12 and under; full price paper registration lists fees of $35 for adults and $25 for youth. Early registration closes at midnight on October 25, 2026. After October 25 registration will be $35 for adults and $25 for youth and a race t shirt is not guaranteed. Online registration is handled through the event registration provider.
Packet pick up is available at Keller Williams Real Estate, 362 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton:
- Saturday, November 21 : 9:00 AM to Noon
- Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November 24 : 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Thanksgiving in the Park : 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM
Awards are given to the top male and female overall and to the top three males and females in each age category: 13 and under, 14 to 18, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over (awards for runners only). Participants are asked to bring a non perishable food item, no glass, for the local food pantry. A course map and race results from previous years are available, and sponsorship information is provided for the 2026 event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
