Mother's Day Half Marathon - Madison
The Mother's Day event in Madison takes place at Olin Park, featuring a course that utilizes local park trails. This event provides several distance options for participants and includes a charitable component supporting the Wisconsin Ovarian Cancer Alliance. The course is open to both runners and walkers, and the trails remain open to the public during the event.
The available distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 100 meter Kids Dash
Participants receive a super soft cotton event shirt, available in pink or white. Upon crossing the finish line, every finisher is presented with a rose. Additionally, those completing the 5 km distance are provided with chocolate cake pops. The event is chip timed, with the timing chip integrated into the bib.
Custom awards are presented to the top three male and female participants overall, as well as the top three finishers in various age groups, ranging from 14 and under to 70 and older. All children participating in the Kids Dash also receive a finisher's award. Free digital photos are made available online following the event. While strollers are permitted for walkers, they must start after other participants, and children in strollers are required to wear helmets.
