MadCity Ultras

MadCity Ultras takes place in Madison, Wisconsin on April 11, 2026. The event includes the USATF 100K Road National Championship alongside other ultramarathon events. The race began in 2007 and is organized entirely by volunteers. The local organizing committee is recognized by USATF and has hosted the 100K and 50K national championship race for the past 12 years. The event aims to highlight the Madison area running community.

The certified 50K and 100K courses use a 10K loop known as the Arb Loop. The loop runs along the shore of Lake Wingra adjacent to Vilas Park and winds through the UW Madison Arboretum. The 100K relay can consist of 2 to 5 people. The race base is at the Vilas Shelter in Madison City Park; participants enter from the east on Vilas Park Drive. Vilas Park Drive is closed to automobile traffic between the Vilas Shelter parking lot and Edgewood Avenue during the event.
