Mother's Day at Alluvial & Prairie Moon Run
This event is an untimed fun run held on Mother's Day, May 10, at Alluvial Brewing Company and Prairie Moon Winery in Ames, Iowa. The course is approximately 5K and begins and ends at the taproom areas of the two locations, which are connected by a parking lot.
The mapped route runs on public roads and includes rolling hills and views of the winery. Because the course is open to regular traffic, participants are expected to obey traffic laws and be aware of their surroundings. Walkers, joggers, and runners of all ages may take part.
Registration for the event includes one beverage choice from Alluvial Brewing Co or Prairie Moon Winery, plus a collector's pint glass or a Brewery Running Series swag item. Attendees have access to live music, food trucks, and games provided by partners and sponsors. Participants who are under 21 receive a token for a nonalcoholic beverage; a valid ID is required to claim alcoholic beverages.
The event is organized by the Iowa Brewery Running Series. It will proceed in rain or shine, registration is limited by taproom capacity, a portion of proceeds will support a local nonprofit, and refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
