Trestle Hustle (June 21, 2025, High Trestle Trail, Madrid)
The 16th annual Trestle Hustle was held on June 21, 2025, at the High Trestle Trail in Madrid. The event had 167 participants, including several virtual racers who completed their events from home. Competitors came from across Iowa and other states such as Nebraska, Arizona, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Maryland. The race served as the kickoff to High Trestle Fest.

Conditions, services and results
Racing took place in hot, windy conditions. All finishers received a medal, running socks, and trail mix donated by the BCH Auxiliary. Refreshments were provided by Keurig Dr Pepper and Culligan. Volunteers supported packet pickup, check-in, water stations, and route support. Safety and event operations involved BCH Engineering Department, BCH Ambulance, Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Madrid Police, and Boone County Conservation.
