Details
The in-person activities are held on the Madrid High Trestle Trail, starting at Dalander Park / Johnson Trailhead in Madrid, Iowa. The 10K run is the only event where participants cross the High Trestle Trail Bridge.
Timing is managed by True Time Racing Services using chip timing. Results are divided into age categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. All participants receive a finisher's medal. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for both male and female participants in each event and age category for the in-person event.
Registration has early bird pricing available until a specified date in May. Packet pick-up is offered as a drive-thru service at Boone County Hospital on the Friday before the event, with options also available on race morning. On-site amenities include handwashing stations, portable toilets, hand sanitizer, and grab-and-go food items like granola bars and bottled water.
Virtual participants can complete their chosen event within a three-day window and submit their time online. Their finisher's medals are mailed to them. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
