30th Annual Mosquito Lake Chase

The 30th Annual Mosquito Lake Chase is a community running event held on May 25, 2026, at Maplewood High School in Mecca, Ohio (2414 Greenville Road, Cortland, OH 44410). It includes a 5K and a 1 Mile fun run/walk.

Pre-registered entry is $22 and the race day fee is $25. Online registration closes at midnight on May 22, 2026. Shirts are guaranteed for the first 100 registrants. Packet pick-up and day-of registration take place at Maplewood High School.

Prize money in the 5K is awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall: $75, $50, and $25. Additional awards are presented by age group for both races. For the 5K, awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group; for the mile, awards are given to the first finisher in each age group. Age groups are: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Proceeds support a scholarship fund and Maplewood Running Rockets activities.
