Morris Hill Meltdown
Morris Hill Meltdown is a vertical mile event in Monticello, KY centered on Morris Hill. The primary course is 1.1 miles with close to 600 feet of elevation gain and consists of sustained uphill running or rucking on a road with twists and turns. The event is point to point; participants return roughly 1.5 miles to the Monticello Farmers Market after finishing for awards and collection.
Packet pickup is at the Monticello Farmers Market. From there participants will be guided on an approximate five minute walk to Morris Hill Road for the start. Registration opens August 5, 2026 and closes June 5, 2027. The listed registration fee is $20.00 for each event.

The ruck division specifies weight by competitor body weight: over 150 lb carry 20 lb dry weight, under 150 lb carry 10 lb dry weight.
Awards include overall top three men and women, a last place finisher award, and two random drawings. All finishers receive a race logo sticker. First place man and woman each receive $150 cash. Any winning time faster than the current course record of 8:21 set in 2025 will earn a $300 prize.
After the event the June edition of the Monticello Market takes place beside the check in area with local vendors and food options.
