Morris Hill Meltdown - Monticello, KY
Morris Hill Meltdown is a vertical-mile event held on June 6, 2026 in Monticello, Kentucky. The course runs uphill on Morris Hill for about 1.1 miles and gains close to 600 feet of elevation. The route includes twists and turns and passes scenic sections of the hill.
Event formats include running and a ruck division. Distances:

- 1.1 miles - Vertical Mile RUCK (ruck)
Ruck participants follow weight rules: participants over 150 lb carry 20 lb dry weight and participants under 150 lb carry 10 lb dry weight. Registration fees are listed as $20. Packet pickup is at the Monticello Farmers Market; participants are led on an approximate five minute walk to the road where the climb begins. The race is point-to-point; after finishing, participants should expect to return about 1.5 miles to the farmers market for awards. Shuttle service is available for those who prefer not to walk back.
Awards include overall top three male and female finishers, a prize for the last place finisher, two random drawings, and finishers receive a race logo sticker. First-place male and female receive $150 cash and a $300 bonus is available for a winning time faster than the course record of 8:21.
