About the race
The Moreton Buy 10km is a road running event held in Clontarf with the start and finish at Pelican Park, 101 Hornibrook Esplanade. The race distance is 10 km and entry is open to runners aged 12 years and over.
Participants are seeded into waves based on expected finish time. Wave categories list target finish ranges including elite (sub 43 minutes) and progressively slower groupings up to over 90 minutes. Pace runners are provided at a range of target times: 40 minutes, 45 minutes, 50 minutes, 1 hour and 1 hour 15 minutes.
A cut-off time of 2 hours 15 minutes applies to the event. Timing uses disposable race timing chips located on the back of race bibs. Finishers receive a certificate and a medallion. The official event singlet is included in the entry pack.
For safety, certain items are not permitted in the race: pets, scooters, bicycles and skates. Age categories are provided in ten-year bands from 12–17 years through to 90+ years, allowing age-group placement across the field.
