Moreton Buy 10km
Moreton Buy 10km is a road race scheduled for Sunday 19 July 2026. The event covers a distance of 10 km and uses Pelican Park, 101 Hornibrook Esplanade, Clontarf as both the start and finish location.
Runners are organised into timed wave groups based on anticipated finishing time. Wave categories include an elite category for sub 43 minutes and subsequent waves ranging from under 45 minutes through to over 90 minutes. Pace runners are provided for a range of target times including 40 minutes, 45 minutes, 50 minutes, 1 hour and 1 hour 15 minutes. The minimum entry age is 12 years and age categories are provided in ten year bands from 12 to 17 years up to 90 plus years.
Timing is conducted with disposable race timing chips attached to race bibs. A cut off of 2 hours 15 minutes applies from the participant's start to support safety and road reopening requirements. Finishers receive a certificate and a finishers medallion. Event exclusions for competitor safety include pets, scooters, bikes and skates. Included event merchandise is a J2J Running Singlet.
