Morecambe Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k
The event on 20 September 2026 offers three road races that start and finish near Bare Methodist Church, LA4 6EF. The courses run mainly along the promenade, round Heysham Village via the cliff path, then return along the promenade and proceed towards Bolton-le-Sands before returning to the start. The marathon covers two laps of this course. The 10k runs alongside the other races for the first 6.2 miles and finishes at the same location as the other races.
Distances:
- Marathon - two laps of the promenade and Heysham village route.
- Half Marathon - one lap of the promenade and Heysham village route.
- 10k - follows the main route for the first 6.2 miles and finishes at the start.
Entry and fees are set for online registration and on-the-day entries. Online prices differ by club affiliation and event, with examples: marathon online from £50 to £53, half marathon online from £31 to £33, 10k online from £24 to £25. On-the-day entries are cash only from 9.30am, with higher fees. Online entry portals may charge an additional fee. The event holds UKA licence number 28307.
