Event overview
The Morecambe Race Series holds a day of road races on 20 September 2026 at Bare Methodist Church, LA4 6EF. The programme includes a marathon, half marathon and 10k. The event holds a UKA licence (number 28307). The marathon and half marathon are eligible as a Good for Age qualification for the 2027 London Marathon.
Course and entries
The marathon and half marathon follow the same route along the promenade, around Heysham Village via the cliff path, back along the promenade, then toward Bolton-le-Sands and return. The marathon comprises two laps of that course. The 10k runs alongside the other races for the first 6.2 miles and finishes at the race start location. All events start and finish near Bare Methodist Church.
Online entry fees:
- Marathon: Club runners £48, Non-club £50, Lancaster Runner's Club £38
- Half marathon: Club runners £30, Non-club £33, Lancaster Runner's Club £24
- 10k: Club runners £21, Non-club £23, Lancaster Runner's Club £17
