Morecambe Marathon, Half Marathon & 10k
The event takes place on September 20th. It features three race distances: a marathon, half marathon, and 10k. All events start at 11am near Bare Methodist Church (LA4 6EF).
The marathon and half marathon share the same route. The course follows the promenade, goes around Heysham Village along the cliff path, returns along the promenade, and continues towards Bolton-le-sands before turning back. The marathon consists of two laps of this course. The 10k runs alongside the other races for the first 6.2 miles and finishes at the start location.
Online entry is available. Fees vary for club runners, non-club runners, and Lancaster Runner's Club members. Entry on the day is also possible for cash. The organizer has a no refunds, swaps, or deferrals policy. The event is a UK Athletics licensed event (#28307) and offers a chance to achieve a Good For Age qualifying time for the London Marathon.
