Morecambe Festival of Running
The Morecambe Festival of Running features three race distances: 5k, 10k, and 10 mile. The event is held in November 2026 and January 2027, starting at 11am from Heysham Cricket Club (LA3 2RL).
The course is an out-and-back route along Morecambe Promenade. The 5k turn point is near the Battery, and the 10k turn point is near the old Lifeboat station. Runners can expect views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District mountains.
All finishers receive a medal. The event operates under UK Athletics licences (including #28796, #28307, #28248, and #29955). Entry fees vary by distance and affiliation status. For example, online entry for the 10k costs £22 for affiliated club athletes, £24 for unaffiliated athletes, and £18 for Lancaster Runner's Club members.
