Moosehorn Ghost Run Half-Marathon and Relay
The Moosehorn Ghost Run Half-Marathon and Relay is scheduled for October 25, 2026, at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge in Baileyville, ME. The event offers an individual 13.1 mile half-marathon and a team relay option that uses the refuge access road system and refuge property for all race activities.
The course is entirely on car-free refuge service roads and includes dirt, grassy, and gravel surfaces with rolling terrain. Wildlife sightings are possible along the route, including deer, moose, bear, grouse, and many bird species. The route features two staffed or self-serve aid points, two relay exchange locations, and multiple road crossings that will be marked and staffed where indicated. The published course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

- Leg 1 approximately 4 miles
- Leg 2 approximately 5.9 miles

Registration opens August 1, 2026. Entry is capped at 100 runners across all events. Fee structure includes early bird and standard rates for individual and relay entries, and a youth rate for participants 17 and under. Race day activities are based at the YCC building on Moosehorn Refuge property. Awards include overall and age group placings, relay awards, and Halloween themed recognitions.
