The Moosehorn Ghost Run Half-Marathon and Relay takes place on October 25, 2026 in Baileyville, ME at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge (103 Headquarters Rd). The race is organized by Bold Coast Runners in partnership with Friends of Moosehorn. Event day activities are held outside at the YCC building on refuge property. The field is capped at 100 entrants across all events. Registration opens August 1, 2026; early-bird and late-fee dates apply and registration closes on October 24, 2026. The course runs entirely on refuge access roads and dirt roads, with no car traffic expected on the marked route. The route starts near the Refuge Headquarters, passes meadows and flowages, includes staffed and self-serve aid stations, and returns to the headquarters for the finish. Wildlife commonly seen on the refuge may include deer, moose, bear, grouse, and various birds. The race has a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Relay legs are approximately 4.0 miles, 5.9 miles, and 3.1 miles; exchange points are marked and runners must reach their leg start locations.
