Moose Mountain Trail Races : Bragg Creek, Alberta
The Moose Mountain Trail Races, organized by Lewiston Ultra Events, take place on August 22, 2026 at West Bragg Creek in Bragg Creek, AB. The event offers four solo trail distances: 16 km, 29 km, 42 km, and 50 km.
The course starts and finishes at the West Bragg Creek day-use area and ascends from rolling prairie into the foothills. Runners use more than 150 km of community-built trails, with a mix of single track and double track. Moose Mountain, at about 8,000 feet, forms a prominent backdrop to the route.
Each distance has published elevation gain and loss, estimated completion times, and designated aid stations. Cutoffs are enforced at key aid stations; runners who miss cutoffs may be assisted off the mountain, redirected to a shorter distance, or recorded as DNF depending on the situation. The 50 km requires a 50 km bib to participate.
Registration details in the organizer's materials note a fee of 145 CAD plus GST and event fees, a minimum age of 18 on race day, no refunds, and that bib transfers are allowed except into the 50 km.
