Lewiston Ultra Events
Lewiston Ultra Events organizes trail races and community running activities in British Columbia and Alberta. The organization hosts trail races, group runs, socials and orientation runs. It also supports and gives back to trail alliance groups, search and rescue organizations, and local communities.
BC Backyard Ultra
BC Backyard Ultra is scheduled for April 24, 2026, in Sicamous, British Columbia. The event supports the Canadian Championship Series and Big’s Backyard Ultra World Championship. Registration opens October 10, 2025.
Moose Mountain Trail Races
The Moose Mountain Trail Races take place in the West Bragg Creek recreational day-use area, Bragg Creek, Alberta, within the Kananaskis Country park system. The event is described as Alberta’s oldest sanctioned trail race and traces its tradition back to 1992.

The courses use mostly single and double track trails that ascend from prairie into foothills and community-built trail networks. Elevation gains and losses vary by distance: the 16KM has about 460 m, the 29KM about 1,220 m, the 42KM about 1,620 m, and the 50KM about 2,351 m. Aid stations are placed on-course at specified kilometre points. Estimated completion times are provided for each distance. The race has cut-off points where runners who do not meet placement requirements may be redirected or assisted off the mountain.
Registration for all distances is listed at $145 CDN plus applicable fees. Participants must be 18 or older on race day. Registration closes August 10, 2026, or when the race fills. Transfers are allowed until August 10, 2026, for an administration fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
