Moose Mountain Trail Races : Bragg Creek, AB
The event organized by Lewiston Ultra Events takes place on August 22, 2026 at the West Bragg Creek day‑use area in Kananaskis Country. It offers four solo mountain trail distances: 16KM, 29KM, 42KM, and 50KM.
The course moves from rolling prairie into the foothills along community-built trails, featuring forested single and double track. Moose Mountain, at 8,000 feet, forms the backdrop to sections of varying terrain and sustained elevation change.
Distances and key features:
- 16KM: elevation gain 460 m; 75% single track; aid at 8KM.
- 29KM: elevation gain 1,220 m; 50% single and 50% double track; aids at 9KM and 20KM.
- 42KM: elevation gain 1,620 m; aids at 9KM, 20KM, 27KM and 33KM.
- 50KM: elevation gain 2,351 m; aids at 9KM, 22KM, 36KM and 42KM.
Practical details: entry fee is 145 CAD plus GST and platform fees. Participants must be 18 years or older. There are no refunds and no waitlist. Bib transfers are permitted except that a 50KM entry is required to run the 50KM distance; 50KM entries may transfer into shorter distances.
