About the Race

The Moose Mountain Trail Races (MMTR) offers four solo distances: 16 km, 29 km, 42 km, and 50 km. It is Alberta's oldest sanctioned trail race. The event takes place on the trail system within Kananaskis Country park. The start and finish are at the West Bragg Creek day-use area.

The Course

The courses run along forested single and double-track trails, with Moose Mountain as a backdrop. They ascend from rolling prairie into the foothills. Over 150 km of trails are available in the area. Aid stations are provided for each distance. Intermediate and finish line cut-off times apply for each race. The organizers state there are no refunds and no waitlist. Bib transfers are possible, except for the 50 km distance, under specific conditions and for a fee.
