Moose & Goose Wine Run 5k
The event is a chip timed 5k held at Moose & Goose Winery in Temple, Texas, on February 20, 2027. The course is a two lap route across the winery property that runs along a woodline and through the vines. It is a cross country style route with some uneven footing and is open to runners and walkers.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a race bib, online results, and a pour of wine for eligible participants. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event.
Age group awards are offered for ten year categories with top three finishers in each category receiving a custom award. Age categories include 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over. Results are posted online and age group awards are distributed on the day of the event.
The event partners with Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter, which provides shelter and support for women in crisis pregnancies and post partum. Additional notes from the organizer state minors may register at a discounted rate and will not receive wine, strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground, walking is allowed, and dogs are prohibited on site.
