Event Details

The Moose & Goose Wine Run 5k is a run/walk event held at the Moose & Goose Winery in Temple, Texas. The event features handcrafted fruit wines from the winery and welcomes participants of all ages. The winery property also includes goats.

Registration and Amenities

The registration price increases after February 10, 2026. Registration for participants aged 1 to 20 is offered at a discounted rate. The standard registration includes a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a pour of wine. Minors who register receive the shirt, medal, and bib, but not the wine glass or wine pour.

The event is professionally timed by J3 Timing, with results posted online. The race also offers age group awards for the top three male and female finishers in standard 10-year categories.

Course and Participation

The 5k course is described as having uneven ground. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to the terrain; children in strollers can participate for free without registering. Walking and running are both allowed, but dogs are not permitted at the event.

Packet pickup is available only on race day, starting one hour before the event begins. A virtual participation option is also available, which includes the option to have the race packet shipped for an additional fee.

Charity Partnership

The event has a local charity partner, Our Lady of The Angels Maternity Shelter, which provides shelter and support for women in crisis pregnancies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
