MoonPie Move Half Marathon - Huntsville
The MoonPie Move takes place in Madison, Alabama, offering a variety of road racing options for different fitness levels. Participants can choose between three distinct distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
The event starts and finishes at Palmer Park, specifically near the lower baseball diamonds fieldhouse. The course features electronic timing and scoring for all participants. Aid stations are positioned at the 5k and 10k turnaround points, providing water, Gatorade, and GU. Course elevation data is available via interactive maps and videos to help runners prepare for the terrain.
Every finisher receives a premium blend event shirt and a series finisher medal. Post-race refreshments include bananas and MoonPies provided at the finish line. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in specific age groups ranging from 20 and under to 70 plus.
Free parking is available on-site near the baseball diamonds. Packet pick-up is offered both on the day prior to the race at a local running store in Madison and on the morning of the event at the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
