Moonlight Motion
The Moonlight Motion is an evening running event in Denton, Texas, taking place at North Lakes Park. It offers several event options: a Kid's Dash, a 5K, a 1 Mile, and a Virtual Option.
Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a finisher medal. For the 5K distance, there is eligibility for age group awards. Age groups are divided into many categories, from 0-4 up to 80+, with awards for the top four in each division. Overall awards are also presented for male and female winners, as well as masters (40+) and grand masters (60+) categories. Awards are distributed at the event and are not shipped.
The Kid's Dash is a free, short sprint of 100–200 meters held before the main races. Participants can purchase a t-shirt and medal as an add-on. The new 1 Mile option is untimed and does not have age group awards but includes a finisher medal and participation shirt. The Virtual Option allows participants to receive their shirt and medal by mail.
Check-in occurs on race day. An awards ceremony is held after the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
