The Moonlight Motion takes place on Saturday July 18, 2026, at North Lakes Park, 2001 W. Windsor Rd., Denton, TX 76207. The event is presented by Run Different and includes in-person and virtual participation options.

Entry details and what is included: the Kid's Dash is free and is a short 100–200 meter sprint; dashers may purchase a t-shirt and finisher medal as add-ons. The 5K and 1 Mile in-person events include finisher medal cubes and event-themed participation t-shirts; to guarantee a t-shirt size registrants must register by 07/04. The 1 Mile is an untimed event and has no age group awards. The 5K is eligible for age group awards and overall/category medals. Price points listed are: Kid's Dash $0, 5K $35 (price increases after February 28, 2026), 1 Mile $18 (price increases after February 28, 2026), and Virtual Option $40. The virtual option includes shipping of shirt and medal the week of the race. Awards will be distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
Volunteers are offered a code for a free race entry as a thank you. Run Different donates 10% of profits and 100% of donations to Encounter Church (Fate). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
