Event overview
Moonlight Motion is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, at North Lakes Park, 2001 W. Windsor Rd., Denton, TX 76207. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes multiple distance choices. Registration includes an event-themed participation t-shirt (register by July 4 to guarantee shirt size) and finisher medals for in-person distances.
Distances and entry
- Kid's Dash - short sprint, about 100–200 meters, free entry.
- 5K - timed in-person race; entry fee listed as $35.
- 1 Mile - in-person 1 mile option; entry fee listed as $18. This mile is an untimed event with no age group awards.
- Virtual Option - entry fee listed as $40; shirt and medal will be shipped the week of the race.
Price for the 5K and 1 Mile increases after February 28, 2026. Kid's Dash and Virtual Option registrations close on the race date.
Awards and additions
The 5K is eligible for age group awards awarded four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 through 80+. Overall awards are listed for overall male/female, male/female masters (40+), and male/female grand masters (60+). Finisher Medal Cube is noted for the 5K and 1 Mile. Awards will be distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Kid dash participants may purchase a t-shirt or finisher medal as add-ons.
Logistics and other notes
The organizer offers volunteer opportunities; volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank-you. A 5K course link is provided by the organizer.
