About the race
Monton 5Miler is a 5 mile road race organised by Sports Feet and Crazy Legs Events, held on Monday 30 August 2027 at Monton Cricket Club, Welbeck Road, M30 9EH, Manchester. The course is two laps on closed roads around Ellesmere Park in Monton and includes faster sections on the Swinton Greenway near Eccles College.
Race facilities and features include chip timing, a bespoke medal, a baggage store at Race HQ and race photography. The event is licensed by UK Athletics with a course measurement certificate (North of England Course number 23/123). Cash prizes of £100 are offered to the first male and first female, with additional prizes for second and third places and veteran categories from age 40 upwards.
Entry details state a limit of 500 places and a minimum age of 15 on race day. Entries close on 29 August 2027 at 12:00 and there are no on the day entries. Entry fees are listed as £28 for unaffiliated runners and £26 for UKA affiliated runners before 1 July, with the same fees applying after 1 July but without the technical t-shirt option. A technical t-shirt is included for entries made up to midnight on Wednesday 30 June; a small number of t-shirts may be available after the race for purchase at £15.
