The Monton 5Miler is a road race held at Monton Cricket Club (Welbeck Road, M30 9EH) on 30 August 2027. The event is organised by Sports Feet with involvement from Crazy Legs Events and is licenced by UKA with a course measurement certificate (North of England Course number 23/123).
The race is a two-lap, 5 mile course on closed roads around Ellesmere Park and includes faster sections on the Swinton Greenway around Eccles College. Chip timing is provided and race photographs will be available. Race headquarters offers a baggage store.
Prizes include a £100 cash prize for first male and first female, additional prizes for second and third male and female, and veterans prizes for age groups from 40 and above. Entrants receive a bespoke medal. A technical t-shirt is included for entries completed up to midnight on Wednesday 30 June; after that date the t-shirt option is removed and a small supply may be available to purchase after the race at a stated cost of £15.
Entry details note limits and conditions: entries are limited to 500, minimum age on race day is 15, and there will be no on-the-day entries. Transfers or deferrals are normally permitted up to 48 hours before the event. Refunds are issued only at the organiser’s discretion and cancellation policies apply.
