Monton 5Miler is a two-lap 5 mile road race around Ellesmere Park in Monton. The route uses closed roads and includes faster sections on the Swinton Greenway around Eccles College. The event is organised by Sports Feet and Crazy Legs Events.
Race services and features include a technical t-shirt option for entries made up to midnight on Wednesday 30th June, a bespoke medal, chip timing, a baggage store at Race HQ and race photos. A small supply of t-shirts will be available to purchase after the race at a cost of £15. The course is licensed by UKA with a measurement certificate, North of England Course number 23/123.
Prizes include £100 cash for first male and first female, further prizes for second and third male and female, and veteran prizes in age groups from 40 and above. Entry fees listed are £28 unaffiliated and £26 for UKA affiliated entrants; UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount on validation. Entries are limited to 500 and the minimum age on race day is 15.
Entries open in 2026. Transfers and deferrals are normally permitted up to 48 hours before the event. There will be no on the day entries. Refunds and cancellations are handled at the organiser’s discretion and cancellation policies apply; in the event of cancellation the event will not be rescheduled and refunds are subject to event insurance and any costs incurred by the organiser.
