Monton 5Miler 2026
The Monton 5Miler, organized by Sports Feet and Crazy Legs Events, returns for its 2026 edition on Bank Holiday Monday. This road running event is held in the Monton area, with the race headquarters based at the Monton Cricket Club. The race holds a UK Athletics (UKA) license and features a course measurement certificate from the North of England.
The course consists of a 5 mile distance, organized as a two-lap route. Participants run on closed roads around Ellesmere Park and follow sections of the Swinton Greenway near Eccles College. The event utilizes chip timing to record official results for all participants.
Several amenities and items are included with the entry:
- 5 mile road run
- A pair of Hilly socks
- A bespoke finisher medal
- Access to a baggage store at the Race HQ
- Professional race photography
Participants who enter by midnight on Tuesday 30th June receive a technical t-shirt included in their fee. For entries made after this date, the t-shirt option is removed, though a limited supply may be available for purchase at the event.
The event accommodates a maximum of 500 entrants. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers. Additionally, prizes are provided for veteran categories starting from age 40 and above. The minimum age for participation is 15 years old on the day of the race.
